As I dug deeper, the problem crystallized:

How might we redesign real estate payments to feel as seamless as a tap on your banking app?

Discovery: Enter the Complexity

Before sketching screens, I stepped into the shoes of users buyers, developers, and real estate managers.

  • User Interviews with home buyers revealed stress around unclear payment schedules and unreliable confirmation timelines.

  • Property Developers cited friction in tracking large inflows across multiple accounts and currencies.

  • Analytics + Desk Research showed the root problems: manual reconciliation, no support for global transactions, and no structured way to manage flexible payment plans.

Design Strategy: A Fintech-First Experience for Real Estate

So I focused on three design pillars:

  3. Flexibility: Let users tailor payments to fit life, not the other way around.
